Our Board of Directors

Julie McDonald

Julie is a graduate of Notre Dame Academy and Syracuse University. Born and raised in the Worcester area, Julie has always had a heart for helping others in her community, with a keen awareness of those less fortunate. While volunteering in several local schools, where 90% of the students come from low-income households, Julie saw firsthand the lack of access many children had to food once they left school. This inspired her to channel her passion into a tangible solution.

Julie went on to found the Juniper Outreach Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building food pantries in local schools with the greatest need. Juniper Outreach currently operates six school-based pantries in Worcester, providing students with direct access to food they can take home for nights and weekends. Beyond her role as founder, Julie has established partnerships with local businesses, government agencies, and other nonprofits, fostering collaboration that has significantly amplified the foundation’s impact.
